My family’s trip started out as a wild adventure but ended with an amazing stay at this gorgeous Bed and Breakfast!
We were heading back on Sunday the 26th from our Christmas visit in Romulus, NY with family and happened to travel the same day as the December Blizzard of 2010 (NY, NJ, MA,etc). 10 miles from home we were shocked to find out that we were unable to continue any further due to the treacherous road conditions. Having already stopped in at a strangers home to grab some water for our 6.5mo old son’s bottle and grab a snack for our 21.5mo old daughter, my wife and I searched for local hotels and inns. The first in our search happened to be the Warwickshire Bed and Breakfast. So we contacted the Warwickshire in desperation for a place to stay (thank god we did). They had absolutely no problem in preparing a room for an indefinite amount of nights stay. We arrived there around 630pm and were greeted by Gordon and Stella. We were shown to our beautiful room and then asked to come down to the dining area for dinner when we were ready. When we arrived downstairs we saw a table complete with steak, steamed vegetables, bread, drinks and salad! We chit-chatted with the in-keepers and felt like were at home with family. After dinner we headed back up to the bedroom, unpacked, relaxed with some TV and got the kids to sleep. We then settled in for one of the most comfortable nights sleep either my wife or I has ever had. We awoke the next morning to a full breakfast! We chatted a little more with Stella and Gordon and then decided to attempt to drive home. We did not want to leave – we wish we could have stayed longer. We were extremely grateful for the hospitality, the accommodations (especially on such short notice), the food and atmosphere, as well as everything else about the stay. We spoke to friends and family during our night there and raved about this B&B. I highly recommend this beautiful gem in Warwick, NY.
Thank you again so much for taking us in and making us feel at home, Stella and Gordon. We hope we can stay in touch – Madison and Hunter miss you guys so much.
The wife and I had decided on Warwick for a B&B location, based upon friends and family having visited the area before. They had nothing but great things to say about the area and people. Having looked for a B&B online we came upon Warwickshire and were delighted at the look of the rooms and descriptions. We called the phone number and the sweet voice of Stella answered. As It being our first time in a B&B Stella patiently answered all our questions and eventually confirmed the Devonshire suite with a check in time that was to be 2pm that Friday the 28th! The drive up was beautiful and when we pulled up to 12 Linden Place, we were in for a pleasant surprise. The B&B, a quaint beauty settled in a homey neighborhood looked even better in person then it did in the pictures. As me and my wife got out of the car, we were in awe at the beauty the area held. Having grown up in a small town I immediately felt at home. Even my wife who is from a big city also felt immediately at home in Warwick. Stella and Gordon were amazing hosts and even started a fire for us in our suite!!! The Devonshire was elegant and made us feel immediately comfortable. After settling in Stella was gracious enough to tell us the best restaurants and shops to visit. The bed was divine and made for one of the most comfortable experiences we’ve ever had away from home. We woke up at approximately 8:30 to the pleasant smells wafting through the house from the kitchen. Stella and Gordon fixed us a breakfast fit for the Royal Family! Starting off with a succulent array of delicious fruits and OJ. Second course was an Quiche that was to die for. The third and final course was of epic proportion. French toast stuffed with marshmallows and chocolate sauce with sliced bananas!!!! As I mentioned before a feast fit for KINGS! All in all a pleasant experience that my wife and I would love to experience over and over again!!! With a beautiful room at an great value, amazing hosts, in a beautiful area, Warwickshire is the place to stay in Warwick the most delightful B&B experience of your life.
P.S. A GREAT BIG SHOUTOUT to Stella and Gordon who opened their home and hearts to us. We truly felt at home!
We had a great stay at Warwickshire. We were able to make a last minute reservation on a weekday, were served a late night sundae by the fireplace and had a fantastic sleep! In the morning, we had a deliciously sweet breakfast along with a good send off by Stella. The town is adorable and the house is close to everything! Highly recommend. Thank you!!!
